AfriCamp Life Quest

This unique program provides an intersection between; community, empowerment, recreation and sustainability.  AfriCamp Life Quest (ALQ) provides the same special environment of AfriCamp; a safe space where teens of African descent can experience being in a majority and a part of an exclusive setting that allows free expression and exchange of many sensitive experiences, issues and challenges that come with growing up an Afro child in Germany.

There is also the important need to (as other ethnic groups practice) teach the greatness of Afro cultures to our children and youth.  Unfortunately, there is a limited amount of time and attention that can be dedicated to the study of Black; history, culture and achievement in public schools.  So these empowering and enriching investments must find place and be organized by Black people as an indispensable deposit into a Black child's self image and sense of self worth.  The knowledge and awareness of their own heritage and peoples contributions to humanity are essential to a balanced world view.  It is also necessary for the unique talents and natural abilities of Afro children to be discovered, honed and celebrated in a focused environment by Black adults who can discern and assist in the development of these personal assets.

ALQ provides the ideal setting and program to meet these objectives.  The result is stronger and more well adjusted Afro teens and adults who are able to better contribute to their own communities and thus the general welfare of Germany and the world beyond.
